Newham Archives

About Us

Newham Heritage Service is dedicated to preserving and making publicly accessible the history of Newham’s places, people, and things. The museum collections include more than 11,000 objects and artworks and the archive contains more than 350,000 items from the 15th century to the present day, encompassing manuscripts and other paper documents, photographs, films, and oral histories. In addition to our collections, we support community heritage projects across the borough through providing learning and research opportunities.
